Early Years Foundation Stage

The Early Years Foundation Stage begins at birth and continues to the end of the reception year in infant school. The Pre-School adheres to the ‘Statutory Framework for the Foundation Stage’ 2023 that sets the standards for learning, development and care for children from birth to five.

The new framework is made up of three prime areas and four specific areas although they are all interlinked. The Pre-School focuses primarily on the Prime areas for our very youngest children.
