The Pre-School aims to teach the children by using themes, stories and songs as a foundation for learning. This is always done in a 'fun' way, through artwork, games, activities or role-play. The children are also encouraged to bring things in related to the topic to show the group.
The sessions are organised so the children have some time to choose what they like to play with and other times when the activities are planned by the staff. The children have the opportunity to do creative work such as painting, gluing or drawing. Children learn by leading their own play and by taking part in play which is guided by adults.
We also follow days of celebration eg. Christmas, Easter, Divali, Chinese New Year etc... Our aim is to show respectful awareness of all the major events in the lives of the children and families in the pre-school, and in our society as a whole, and to welcome the diversity of backgrounds from which they come.
